Radio advert
I believe my ad meets the need of my target audience, I Used a tactic called 'Call to action', I used this to send the viewers the message to buy my product that I was advertising, the examples in my ad include: Buy one now to get two free, Exclaiming the name of the website to get one twice. I also believe it is appealing to my target audience because of the cheery, 90's music that plays in the background.
I think that my ad sounds great as the music in the background isn't too loud and the voices are clear enough to make out what they are saying. I think the quality of the dialogue was also pretty good.
The Music I used worked very well with the advert and game a cheerful, bouncy vibe, creating a pleasant atmosphere. If I had more time however I would have used some sound effects such as rustling paper, sounds of something being taken out of a box, and some other sound effects to create impact to immerse the listener more.
I used Premiere Pro to create this ad, the tools I mostly used were the cut tool, I also labelled the different sections of the ad to organise myself, I also used effects to create a slight muffled distortion to mimic the style of an old 90's ad which how they sounded.
I believe skills I need to develop further, If I were to do something similar again is to improve my voice acting abilities as I feel as if some lines I did fell a bit flat and I could have expressed myself a bit more.
I did look at some professional video adverts done my other and found them intriguing, I was influenced by the 'Talking head' structure for ads and decided to incorporate that into mine. I did not use any similar sounds from the ad I found though, I used other pieces of audio unrelated to it to fit with my vision.
I experimented a lot with the effects I used on the voices in the ad, trying my best to make it sounds old and muffled but still audible and understandable. I did not figure this out easily though as I had to got through several teachers to get the knowledge on how to use effects correctly along with a YouTube video. Overall I enjoy my Radio ad and am satisfied with how it turned out.
